Our Story

A new answer to an old room.

LUX Barber Co. began with a simple observation: the places where men used to gather — the corner shop, the club room, the neighborhood barber — have been quietly disappearing. We set out to build the room back, not as nostalgia, but as a modern lifestyle brand rooted in the historical purpose of the barbershop.

The Vision

A barbershop is a chair, a mirror, and a room. What happens in that room is what matters.

We are reimagining that room for the modern man — pairing the sharpest current technique with the historical purpose of the barbershop as a center of community, honesty, and craft.

LUX is not a haircut brand. It is a lifestyle brand built around the ritual of showing up as your sharpest self, and the friendships built while you wait.

The making of LUX

From raw shell to finished lounge.

The space we took over in Winter Park was concrete block, open steel, and possibility. These are the images from the making of the lounge — held here permanently as part of our story.

Collins Comander Series barber chair

The Collins Comander Series

The chair sets the standard.

We selected the Collins Comander Series for our nine stations for one reason: comfort and luxury at the point where the guest actually spends their time. Deep quilted leather, precision hydraulics, hand-finished wood — a chair that carries the weight of a proper service without ever making the guest feel it.

Once the chair was chosen, every other decision — the marble stations, the sputnik fixtures, the tailoring of the smocks and capes — had to rise to meet it. The chair set the standard for the room.

Design Language

Black, gold, and the details that carry the room.

From the tailoring of the uniforms to the plan of the floor, every element speaks the same visual language.

What's Next

Building the room. Then filling it.

The Founders Society — the first 100 members — carries a physical challenge coin marking them as the group that made LUX possible. If you want your name on the wall, the door is open now.
