Behind the Build
Building LUX
Every great hospitality brand begins long before the doors open. This is the story of bringing that vision to life.

Most brands introduce themselves the week they open, fully formed, as though the room simply appeared. We decided to do the opposite — to publish the making of LUX while it is still being made.
The Letter of Intent on the Winter Park space is executed. The groundwork before construction is underway. Everything you see rendered on this site is the architectural vision; as the build progresses, those renderings will be replaced, one by one, with photographs of the real room.
You are early. That is the invitation.
What has been decided
The vision, the business plan, and the brand identity are complete. The product line is designed. The membership program is finalized, down to the numbered Founding Member coin. The location is selected.
What remains is the physical work: permitting, build-out, hiring the founding barber team, a soft opening for the Founders Society, and the grand opening that follows. Winter Park is the flagship — the room every future LUX will be measured against.
Why we are showing our work
A luxury brand is not a finish; it is a sequence of decisions made carefully and in the right order. We would rather you watch those decisions happen than be handed the result and asked to trust it.
Follow the chapters in Building LUX, and read the rest of the Journal as each material, menu, and hire is chosen.
