Coffee Before the Cut

The first cup sets the tempo for everything that follows. We treat it as the opening act of the service, not an amenity.

Most barbershops offer coffee the way an airport offers coffee: technically present. We decided early that if a cup was going into a guest's hand, it would be worth drinking on its own terms.

Espresso, cortado, pour-over, and a properly built cold brew — pulled to the same standard a specialty café would hold, and served in real glass.

Nobody remembers a mediocre coffee. Everybody remembers a good one, in a room that wasn't obliged to offer it.

Tempo

The morning coffee is not just a drink; it is the pacing device for the appointment. It gives a man a reason to sit down before he sits down, and it converts the wait from dead time into part of the experience.

By the time he is in the chair, the room has already done half its work.

Into the evening

The same bar that runs espresso in the morning runs the cocktail program at night, with a full non-alcoholic menu built to the same standard for guests who don't drink.

One bar, two moods, no drop in quality between them.
